The Chinese LED specialists, Sengled have debuted a smart bulb that doesn’t just make light, but also music. The innovative LED bulb with an integrated speaker fits in standard light sockets.

The Pulse bulb from Chinese manufacturer, Sengled, is a bulb and a speaker in one.

Sengled is a leading Chinese lighting company which had, until now, focused solely on business customers. Now, for the first time, the company is presenting a consumer product: The Sengled Pulse bulb makes music as well as light. Users can control both the built-in speaker as well as the light using a smartphone or tablet - the connection is either via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Audio files from your PC, tablet or smartphone can also be wirelessly transmitted to the lamp. The electrical output of the LED bulb is eight watts, the speaker has an output of 6.8 watts. This clever lamp will be available on the market at some point in the second quarter of 2014. The price is not yet known.
