Sengled Reinvents Ambiance with Pulse Intelligent Bulb with Multi-Channel Stereo Wireless Audio System

Affordable intelligent bulb helps people brighten their homes with both light and music

FRANKFURT – March 30, 2014 – Sengled, a leading manufacturer of LED technology has revolutionized lighting with the introduction of Pulse, an intelligent bulb with JBL multi-channel stereo wireless audio, that streamlines light and sound into one seamless system that enriches the environment of homes, restaurants, cafés and other retail environments. Pulse is being unveiled today at Light+Building, the world’s leading trade fair for architecture and technology.

Pulse by Sengled is the first product in the new sengLED+ intelligent lighting family, which represents the company’s vision of transforming lighting from utility to lifestyle with the integration of consumer electronics into LED lamps.

Pulse is compatible with any typical light socket and works with virtually all Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Pulse combines the energy efficiency of LED with audio powered by JBL to provide the premier, multi-channel stereo LED light speakers on the market.

To further enhance the simplicity and elegance of Pulse, Sengled partnered with EffectiveUI, a leading user experience agency, to design a visually intuitive mobile application that controls the bulb, available for both iOS and Android operating systems. Light and sound are controlled directly from the application, including the ability to adjust dimming and volume, assign one of eight different audio settings via the built-in equalizer function, and launch media players such as Pandora, Spotify and others.

Pulse comes in sets of two bulbs – one master bulb and a wirelessly connected satellite bulb– at a suggested retail price of $169.99 for the pair. The bulbs are rated for at least 25,000 hours of life. Future versions of Pulse will include the ability to connect up to seven satellite bulbs to the master.
