Syniverse announced today that Julius Genachowski has joined its Board of Directors. Based in Washington, D.C., Genachowski is a Managing Director in The Carlyle Group’s U.S. Buyout team, focusing on acquisitions and growth investments in global technology, media and telecom, including Internet and mobile. He previously served as Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from 2009 to 2013.

OpenPeak Inc. today welcomed former AT&T executive Christopher K. Hill as OpenPeak's new President, in a newly created role reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Dan Gittleman. Hill, who previously served as Senior Vice President, Advanced Solutions, for AT&T Business, is tasked with executing OpenPeak's strategic vision during the company's growth phase.

Libelium launched a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module that connects Waspmote sensor nodes to smartphones, tablets, and all other BLE compatible iOS and Android devices. Integrated with Waspmote, Libelium’s BLE module allows sensor devices to function as real time location systems, with encrypted data transactions.

Sengled, a manufacturer of LED technology today introduced the Pulse by Sengle, an intelligent bulb with JBL multi-channel stereo wireless speakers. Pulse streamlines light and sound into one system. The bulbs are available beginning today at www.sengledplus.com and other online retail outlets.
